Sizes

SEMCO has the capability to machine a wide variety of sizes from as small as 2 inches in diameter to as large as 8 inches. Standard sizes typically fall within the 3 to 5 inch range.

Styles

SEMCO works closely with its customers to develop tips that optimize die cast performance. SEMCO maintains a large electronic library of over 500 tip designs, as well as designing custom tips for specific applications.

Inventory

SEMCO maintains the world's largest tip inventory for its customers. This assures that in a critical situation, replacement tips are just a phone call away.

Quality Beryllium Copper

SEMCO Tips start with certifiable beryllium copper for superior performance. SEMCO Be-20 and trademarked Be-10S™ alloys outlast and outperform the traditional no. 14 alloy because the higher beryllium content delivers added hardness. The addition of cobalt provides greater durability which promotes longer life.

Material is cast in SEMCO's own foundry using advanced electric induction furnaces with state-of-the-art temperature control for precise alloying. All material is certified with a Spectrolab Spectrometer to ensure alloy specifications are in compliance to satisfy our customer needs.

SEMCO's patented safety stop serves as a reference stop when turning the tip to a smaller size diameter. This feature acts as an indicator for adequate side-wall thickness and prevents die casters from turning tips beyond safe standards.
